Overview:
Ven serves as NIFA's liaison with Members of Congress and their staffs to communicate NIFA's legislative agenda and budget priorities. He also educates lawmakers on the important role NIFA plays in advancing knowledge for agriculture, the environment, human health, and communities by supporting research, education, and extension programs. In addition to his role at NIFA, he works closely with the Office of the Under Secretary and the Office of Congressional Relations to manage the Research, Education, and Economics mission area's interactions with Congress.
