HBCU Agriculture Business Innovation Center Webinar Announcement for Stakeholder FeedbackThe National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) in the U.S. Department of Agriculture will host a webinar to obtain stakeholder feedback regarding the development of a new competitive funding program to establish one Agriculture Business Innovation Center at a selected Historically Black College or University (HBCU). Two million dollars were appropriated in FY 2021 to fund this program. The webinar is scheduled for Tuesday, May 25th, 2021, from 1:00 CST/2:00 EST – 3:00 CST/4:00 EST.

During the webinar, NIFA representatives will be asking that members of the HBCU community and other relevant stakeholders share their feedback on the suggested details of the competitive grant program including such issues as possible partnerships/collaboration, student support/professional development, outreach/services offered by the Center and metrics to assess the success of the Center.
Verbal responses during the webinar are suggested to be limited to 3 minutes or less per HBCU institution or related organizations. Once feedback is provided from all participating HBCU institutions, NIFA will receive comments from any non-HBCU Institution and other participants.
