United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) National Institute of Food and Nutrition (NIFA) Agriculture and Food Research Initiative (AFRI) Food Safety, Nutrition and Health (FSNH) Project Director’s (PD) Meeting
The USDA NIFA will host the FY2021 AFRI Food Safety, Nutrition and Health Project Director’s Meeting virtually May 3rd-5th, 2021 for a subset of FSNH awards programs. The meeting brings together project directors from “Function and Efficacy of Nutrients” (A1341), “Food and Human Health” (A1343), “Diet, Nutrition and Prevention of Chronic Disease (A1344),” “Mitigating Antimicrobial Resistance Across the Food Chain” (A1366), “Understanding Antimicrobial Resistance” (A1362), and "Effective Mitigation Strategies for Antimicrobial Resistance” (A4171) programs. Co-project Directors and graduate students are also invited.
The two goals of this PD Meeting are to improve post-award management of competitive grants administered by USDA NIFA and encourage communication and interaction between NIFA program staff and AFRI awardees on targeted programs. The PD meeting provides the opportunity for PDs to present their project’s objectives or accomplishments and get the most recent updates on program priorities. The PD meeting also provides the opportunity for PDs to learn where their NIFA funded project fits in advancing goals and priorities of their NIFA funding program.General Information
