On November 14, 2017, Dr. Rodney Moxley and Mary Yavelak presented a webinar titled “Progress in Risk Communication and Management of Shiga Toxin-Producing Escherichia coli (STEC) Through the USDA-NIFA STEC Coordinated Agricultural Project (CAP)”. This seminar has been approved by the Commission on Dietetic Registration for 1.0 Continuing Professional Education Unit (CEU).*

Seminar Overview

This webinar provide and overview of:
  • Major outcomes and impacts in the STEC CAP through its integrated research, education, and extension/outreach programs, which have included both traditional and novel contemporary approaches.
  • These technological approaches have allowed for some collection of baseline data while offering education on best practices to reduce STEC illness in consumer home settings.
