Nutrition and Health Committee for Planning and Guidance Year End Reports
The Nutrition and Health Committee for Planning and Guidance, formed in 2008, works with NIFA national program leaders (NPL) to strategically position extension programs for the future. Committee members represent all regions of the country and are from the 1862 and 1890 land-grant institutions.

THE EXPANDED FOOD AND NUTRITION EDUCATION PROGRAM'S (EFNEP) UNIQUE POSITION WITHIN USDA AND THE LAND-GRANT UNIVERSITIES PROVIDES A STRONG RESEARCH-BASE FOR THE OUTREACH AND EDUCATIONAL INTERVENTION. AS SUCH, EFNEP HAS BEEN THE SUBJECT AND DELIVERY MODE FOR MANY CREATIVE STRATEGIES TO ADVANCE THE FIELD OF NUTRITION EDUCATION. FSNE 2003 - 1890 LGU Report
Documenting the many contributions and the unique opportunities of the 1890 Land-Grant Universities (LGUs) to deliver Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE) (currently known as the Supplemental Nutrition Education Program - Education (SNAP-Ed)) as an Extension program highlights the rich history of the 1890 community to address critical issues facing limited resource families. This report can serve as an important springboard for exploring new opportunities for the 1890 institutions to deliver community nutrition education.
FSNE 2005 National LGU Report and 2006 Nutrition Portfolio
This is the second national report for Food Stamp Nutrition Education (FSNE) (currently known as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program – Education (SNAP-Ed)) within the Cooperative Extension/Land-Grant University System. The first national report included data from FY 2002. This report includes data from FY 2005, along with a comparison of results between the two reporting years. Additionally, the 2006 Nutrition Portfolio is a historical document providing the framework for Cooperative State Research, Education, and Extension Service (CSREES) (currently known) as the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA) and FSNE (currently known as (SNAP-Ed)).
SNAP-Ed 2010 National LGU Report
The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education through the Land-Grant University System for FY 2010 Report was created in response to an identified need for baseline data from the final year, FY 2010, prior to enactment of changes from the Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010.

FY 2018 Congressional Actions
Information related to NIFA's FY 2018 Budget. The "2018 Appropriations - House & Senate Funding Table" document shows the difference between the House and Senate versions of the Appropriations Bill. The "2018 Appropriation Table" document shows funding in the 2018 Consolidated Appropriations as compared to the 2018 President's Budget and the 2017 Consolidated Appropriations bill. The "Omnibus - Narrative" is a narrative description of NIFA-related items in the 2018 Appropriations Bill.
National Institute of Food and Agriculture 2017 Annual Report
It is a great pleasure to present the 2017 Annual Report of the National Institute of Food and Agriculture (NIFA): User Inspired Science Transforming Lives. Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue articulated a vision that the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is one family working together to serve the American people. NIFA will help achieve that vision by investing needed intellectual and monetary resources in alignment with USDA’s seven strategic goals to ensure agricultural and rural prosperity.
