Aida provides national leadership for community vitality and family well-being research and evaluation and for rural health and safety research, education and extension activities in the Division of Family & Consumer Sciences. She leads two competitive grants programs in farm safety (Assistive Technology Program for Farmers with Disabilities - AgrAbility, and Youth Farm Safety Education and Certification - YFSEC), and co-leads the Rural Health and Safety Education (RHSE) competitive grants program. Aida received her B.A. in psychology from Grinnell College (Iowa), and her M.A. and Ph.D. in child, youth and family development from Tufts University.
